A Massive Thank You

Thank you so much to everyone who came along to our Spring Quiz last weekend. Everyone had a wonderful evening filled with plenty of giggles, and we managed to raise a wonderful amount for Pilgrims Hospice and United Players.

A massive congratulations to our brilliant winners 'The Holmz Gang' - you guys were some real smart cookies! Better luck next time to our wooden spoon winners 'Double Wheeling'.

A ginormous thank you to our wonderful quiz team; Adam Harris, Becky Wornast and Angel Allsworth.

We can't wait for next time!

And That's a Wrap on Panto 2024!

And just like that Panto 2024 is complete!

Written by our very own Danny Da'Val and directed by the wonderful Maddy Carter.  Robin Hood really brought a lot to the table and we absolutely loved performing it to all of

our audiences.

The Sheriffs and Prince John caused a whole heap of chaos for the people of Nottingham and Robin Hood did not really help make things much better. However when the time came he stepped up and showed what it takes to be a real leader. With the help of Marion, the Village people, Fairy Boom and her assistants and the Merry Men, he became the hero he was

always meant to be.

After months of rehearsing lines, practising dances and planning the chaos we put on eight wonderful shows to over 700 people and loved every minute of it!

Robin Hood had all the best bits about panto and more, there were custard pies, dames, dances, bad jokes, good guys, bad guys, fairies and lots of suspicious acting. Our audiences were absolutely fabulous and we would not have been able to have done it without them, a massive thank you to everyone who joined us for many evenings of giggles, we hope you had as much fun as we did.

Our amazing catering team provided some truly scrumptious cakes which were devoured by cast, crew and audiences alike. Baking over 50 cakes could not have been easy and we cannot thank them enough for their hard work.

Our wonderful front of house team welcomed all of our audiences with a smile and really set a great tone for the show. Our awesome backstage crew were wizards when changing sets, creating lighting, adding sound effects and creating wonderful props and costumes that really brought the show alive for everyone in our audience!

Our amazing cast showed off their phenomenal acting, dancing and singing skills with the incredible guidance given to them by our wonderful director Maddy Carter and choreographer

Poppy Barry.

We have loved performing our show to you all and we can not wait to do it again next year! Watch this space for information on our 2025 pantomime 'Ali Baba'.

Duncan Rand

One-Act Play Festival

July 2023

Written by our very own duo Matt and Maddy Carter, and directed by Danny Da'Val and Adam Harris, 'Why Me?' was our entry for the Duncan Rand One-Act Play Festival 2023!

'Why Me?' is a Greek tragedy about the life of Joe. Chosen as Zeus' Champion at a young age, Joe must complete three trials. With great monster battles, meddling gods, death and drama around every corner... will Joe become the great champion he was chosen to be or will he prove to be just an average Joe?

To start us off we were very proud to have been nominated for 'The Best Comedy', 'Best Costume' and 'Best Set' awards! There were some wonderful productions in this year's festival, so we're super thrilled to have even been considered for these awards.

Our wonderful Sherie, Becky and Rebekah, all received 'Certificates of Merit' for their wonderful performances as Joe, Helen and Hermes!

We were blown away to come home with the 'Best Backstage Crew Award'. Both our cast and crew worked so hard to ensure that everything ran as smoothly as possible, working together as a team, and it showed. From tech rehearsal to the performance, our crew had a plan and a goal and smashed it!

Now our adults love having some fun and releasing their inner child, but it take some real skill to be a youth member and step up to perform along side the adults. But wow did Ellie and Kasie step up to the challenge and absolutely smashed it out of the park! They both put in so much hard work and it clearly showed as they came home with the 'Juvenile Award'!

We are so proud of all of our cast and crew who have put in so much hard work over the past few months and put on a cracking show! You should all be so proud of yourselves!
